(SAFAC) Doshi Family Foundation Scholarship

Scholarship Requirements:

• You are an incoming freshman currently enrolled at Nassau Community College
• You are in good academic standing
• You are majoring in Allied Health Sciences, Engineering, Physics and Technology, Nursing, Mathematics, Computer Science or Information Technology
• You intend to continue at NCC for the Spring 2026 semester
• You must submit an essay describing your educational and personal accomplishments and your career goals

Scholarship is renewable for 3 consecutive semesters – provided the student maintains the above criteria and takes no breaks.

  4. Upload an essay explaining why you are an appropriate candidate for this particular scholarship. Describe your educational and personal accomplishments, your career goals, as well as how winning this award would help any financial hardship you are facing.
  5. Your essay should be 1-2 pages with the following settings: double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. A substantially longer or shorter essay may adversely affect your rating.
  6. This is a scholarship application; spelling and grammar are important. Be sure that the essay is clear and concise.
  7. Your essay must address the given topic above and include your name and the scholarship you’re applying for at the top of the page.
  8. The file uploaded must be a .doc, .docx, or .pdf file. Evaluators are only able to open and read files of this type so any other file type submitted will result in a low rating of the overall application.
