NCC Alumni Association Veteran's Graduating Student Scholarship

Scholarship requirements:
• You are a full-time or part-time student
• You are in good academic standing
• You have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 for all courses taken at NCC
• You will be graduating NCC in May 2025
• You have been Honorably Discharged from the Armed Services
• You must demonstrate financial need. Financial need is determined by your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) results
• You must upload a copy of your DD 214 form by uploading as a Pdf.
• You must submit an essay describing your future goals and financial needs.
• The application requires two written recommendation letters from one faculty member and one personal reference. No family members as reference.

  7. You must have filed a FAFSA and all required documents must be reviewed and satisfied with the Financial Aid Office prior to submitting your scholarship application. It is recommended that you fill out the application online at www.fafsa.ed.gov (school code: 002873). (Please note: late submission of financial aid documents may take several weeks to process.)
  8. Upload an essay describing your future goals and financial needs.
  9. Your essay should 500 words with the following settings: double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font and one-inch margins. A substantially longer or shorter essay may adversely affect your rating.
  10. This is a scholarship application; spelling and grammar are important. Be sure that the essay is clear and concise.
  11. Your essay must address the given topic above.
  12. The file uploaded must be a .doc, .docx, or .pdf file. Evaluators are only able to open and read files of this type so any other file type submitted will result in a low rating of the overall application.
  13. Documentation: Upload a copy of your DD 214 form. Documentation should be scanned and uploaded as a .pdf file. If you need help creating a .pdf file or are unsure of what constitutes official documentation you can send an email to scholarships@ncc.edu.
