(SAFAC) Milestones Scholarship

Scholarship requirements:

• You are in good academic standing
• You are enrolled in a degree program/certificate program
• You have completed at least 12 GPA credits at NCC
• You have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.1 for all courses taken at NCC
• You intend to continue at NCC for the Spring 2024 semester
• Must show financial need.
• Submit an essay describing why you are an appropriate candidate for the scholarship. Envision your future of the next 5,10 and 20 years. Describe in detail what your personal life goals as well as your career goals will be, for each of these milestones of your life. Include in your essay how you are going to accomplish these goals and how winning this scholarship would help any financial hardships you are facing.

Scholarship is renewable* – $250 per semester for 2 consecutive semesters for a total of $500* – provided the student maintains the above criteria

  1. Upload a 500 word essay describing why you are an appropriate candidate for the scholarship. Envision your future of the next 5,10 and 20 years. Include in your essay how you are going to accomplish these goals and how winning this scholarship would help any financial hardships you are facing .
  2. Your essay should be 1 page with the following settings: double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font and one-inch margins. A substantially longer or shorter essay may adversely affect your rating.
  3. This is a scholarship application; spelling and grammar are important. Be sure that the essay is clear and concise.
  4. Your essay must address the given topic above and include your name and the scholarship you’re applying for, at the top of the page..
  5. The file uploaded must be a .doc, .docx, or .pdf file. Evaluators are only able to open and read files of this type so any other file type submitted will result in a low rating of the overall application.
