(SPS) Kimbrough-Lowe Turning Points Transfer Scholarship

Offered to a graduating NCC student, accepted into a four-year college/university in one of the preferred majors listed below. Must show proof of acceptance. Student must have demonstrated through an internship, volunteer or paid job setting an interest in helping others

Open to Full Time or Part Time Student
Minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5
Completed a minimum of 66 GPA Credits
Preferred Major: Psychology-, Sociology, Human Services, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling or a related Human Services Field

Student must submit a letter verifying service or paid work.
Student should be of a historically underrepresented minority group.

Applicant must submit essay describing why they have chosen to pursue a career in the field of counseling, including what activities and life experiences have played a part in their decision.

Be sure that the essay is clear and concise. • Your essay must address the given topic above. • The file uploaded must be a .doc, .docx, or .pdf file. Evaluators are only able to open and read files of this type so any other file type submitted will result in a low rating of the overall application.
