A strong supporter of NCC’s athletes, Theresa is a regular spectator at basketball and football games. In addition, she has made a point of attending many NCC arts events to demonstrate her appreciation of our students’ talents, and has been a ready and familiar chaperone for various NCC on and off campus student activities. Her selfless volunteerism has focused on spreading cultural awareness, facilitating networking among NCC’s student clubs, and community outreach. Furthermore, she has participated in scholarship fundraising events by lending her efforts to the NCC Foundation’s Men Who Cook, Golf Outings, and NCC Gala events.

Nassau Community College’s Prom Boutique has been a favored project for Theresa who was tireless in acquiring donations of formal dresses and accessories to be made available to high school students. During NCC’s Day of Service initiatives, she has assisted in organizing youth shopping sprees for the holidays, and has also collected donations of clothing for the earthquake victims of Haiti. Likewise, Theresa has been a major participant in the College’s food collection campaigns to feed the homeless, and has maintained active membership in NCC ALANA, the NAACP and other civic organizations.
