Dawn DiStefano

Dawn DiStefano is a successful alumna of Nassau Community College who then continued her education earning her BBA at Hofstra University and her MBA at Dowling College.

Having had a successful corporate career in banking and finance, Dawn decided to return to Nassau Community College in Fall 2005 to share her industry knowledge with the future leaders of Long Island within an academic setting.

Passionate for her profession, Dawn received a Special Acknowledgement for Service Learning in May of 2011 as she took the initiative to promote philanthropy and incorporated various service learning projects within her course curriculum. Her philanthropic efforts were appreciated by the College in conjunction with her having had a successful corporate career which led to her becoming the recipient of the Special Humanitarian Award by AHRC Suffolk.

This scholarship was established for the love of her students and to support them while achieving their academic endeavors.
