Charles and Rose Renick Presbyterian Scholarship

Charles and Rose Renick Presbyterian Scholarship

The Charles and Rose Renick Presbyterian Scholarship Fund was created by the North Shore Presbyterian Church of Great Neck and the Presbytery of Long Island to provide financial support to Nassau Community College bound individuals. Though we are small in number, we have a strong and vibrant core, a generous spirit and a heart for partnering with others to multiply our impact. The heart of this scholarship is that we know that there are those who need a small start to have a large impact.

Captain Charles Renick, dedicated a fifty year career to higher education through his work at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and as founder and inaugural director of the American Merchant Marine Museum in Kings Point, New York. Charles and Rose Renick each taught Sunday School at the North Shore Presbyterian Church for thirty years.

Students enrolled in a degree program, who have been committed to community or family service, and demonstrate financial need are encouraged to apply for this affirming scholarship.
